Richie Rich of Richie Rich World was the headliner at Tucson Fashion Week in October.

He remembered me from a fashion show at Hotel Congress in July. I asked him what he has been working on since then. He told me he’s working with Monster Headphones and Beats from Dr. Drew on new headphones and phone chargers. Rich also went to China and Hong Kong to look for factories to work along with factories here in America.

Eleanor Allen, Tucson Country Day School

In October, I went to a concert at Club X-S with my mom. The band we went to see was “Nothing More.”

Our night started off by getting VIP access. We were given two posters for the band to autograph. We also got a lanyard with a pass that said “Nothing more VIP.”

When we entered the club, the band was in the middle of their sound check. The sound check was fun and the band sounded amazing.

After the sound check, we stood in line to meet the band and have pictures taken with them. They were so nice!

Aspiring fashion designers, you must attend Tucson Fashion Week.

I attended the October show that featured some local designers. The fashion show was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Downton. There was a backdrop with sponsors on it just like the red carpet you see on TV.

I spoke with Quinlan Wilhite of QMulative. He said his grandmother showed him how to sew. He began his fashion design career at the age of 24.

You can tell Luca, a new Phoenix-based magazine, is different the minute you see it. Christine Robertson, the CEO, explains that Luca is Italian for “bringer of light.” As you hold the magazine the gloss title does just that, it reflects the light. The magazine is different inside as well. Of course Luca is filled with the professional photo layouts and articles on fashion and make-up that are fun to flip through, but it is so much more. Robertson saw the need for a more positive message for girls and Luca is the result.

Two famous ex-Wildcat basketball players, Nick Johnson and Kaleb "Zeus" Tarczewski attended the Nick Johnson Basketball Camp at Sal Pointe High School in Tucson, Ariz.

Johnson and Tarczewski only played together briefly when their careers overlapped in 2012. At that time, Johnson was a senior and Tarczewski was just starting his basketball career at the University of Arizona.
