Reid Park Zoo is reducing the cost of admission for guests every Tuesday in June and July to just $3 per person as a way to thank the community for its support while offering a break for families hit by recent inflation and rising gas prices. The discount admission also helps support the Zoo to help sustain attendance during the summer when visitation is at its lowest.
Guests coming to the Zoo can see the new meerkat pups as they learn to stand sentry. Visitors may also catch a glimpse of elephant calf Penzi and her big sister Nandi splashing and playing in the elephant pool and can cool off in the air-conditioned Conservation Learning Center while getting up-close views of green tree pythons, prehensile-tailed skinks, and poison dart frogs.
