My family and I went on a thrilling adventure to the Canadian Rockies.
In the beginning, we went to Lake Louise in the Banff National Park. The water was a magnificent teal, and the lake was almost completely frozen over. During our hike, I thought I heard a helicopter. As we kept walking, I discovered that it was an avalanche! When we got to the end of the trail, we saw the snow that had fallen off the mountain and hurried back to the car.
Next, we went to Johnston Canyon and got to see countless beautiful waterfalls. On our way back to the parking lot, we saw an adorable red fox. Then, a park ranger told us to leave because there was a grizzly bear in the area, so we hustled back to the car and left.
In the end, we went to Emerald Lake in Yoho National Park. The path was muddy, so I hiked on top of tree roots so my shoes didn’t get dirty. Toward the middle of the hike, we played with the clay we found by the riverbank!
At the end of the trip, we went to the Columbia Icefield and got to play on a glacier. Our tour guide told us that we could drink the glacier water. It was refreshing and very crisp!
Canada was fun and exciting. My favorite encounter was with the red fox.
